Designing and crafting unique jewellery requires meeting the customer and finding a connection.
That connection carries through the work process. It is present in the finished piece of jewellery and is essential part of the finished work’s charm and significance.
"We wish that our jewellery gives to the owner more than just adornment or beauty – it might represent courage and spiritual strength. This is also the meaning behind our name Nagual. "
Johanna & Jari
Crafting things by hand is profoundly human: it is so holistic.
It involves always your hands, heart and mind.
A beautiful trinity!
We are a couple and a working team. We graduated from Lahti Institute of Design, Jewellery department. Johanna as a goldsmith and Jari as a gold- and silversmith. Johanna has also studied jewellery in Italy.
We complement each other in a perfect way. Whenever there is a problem in a design process of a project, we can consult with each other to provide a whole new perspective. It is superb! We are suitably different, but we share the same passion for our industry.
We founded Nagual in 2000. However, we have been working in the goldsmith and jewellery design industry for over 20 years. We have industry experience spanning all the way from the rugged Arctic Ocean to the home of renaissance in Florence.
In practice, our work is a combination of traditional goldsmithing and modern jewellery design. We do a lot of custom work, which can be very challenging. However, challenges are a prerequisite for growth and development.
We take pride in creating unique original jewellery. We are equally happy to repair and modify old jewellery. A piece of jewellery might be simple, but with small changes we can make it like no other.
You are warmly welcome to visit us and feel the atmosphere of our idyllic workshop in Tampere.
"You are such a great artists!"
